 Mrs. Chavez's

August 2009

My name is Mrs. Chavez and I hope you and your family had a wonderful summer. This is my fourth year teaching at Children’s Rainbow Day School and I am looking forward to a year full of growing and learning with your child.

I would like to take this opportunity to inform you of the delightful activities that your child will be experiencing in my class. You will be given a monthly calendar, so I encourage you to place it where you will see it often to assure that you and your child won’t miss out on any of our many fun activities.

During this year your child will be introduced to language enrichment, language development, phonics, numbers, and skills development. They will also learn about God and all His wonderful gifts through stories, songs, and verses.

In phonics, your child will be learning letter recognition, as well as, the sound that each letter makes. In the area of language development, your child will learn vocabulary words that begin with the corresponding letter that was introduced earlier in the day during phonics.

During language enrichment your child will learn opposites such as: up/down and in/out. Every week we will also get to enjoy different skills activities such as: craft time, science, cooking class, computers, music, poetry, show and tell and drama.

I am looking forward to teaching your child in an environment where God, love and family are valued along with academics. Please remember that classes begin promptly at 8:15 a.m., so your child should arrive by 8:00 a.m. to ensure that he/she is settled in by the time class begins.

Should you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me through the school office, 305-258-0194. I will be able to answer your call during naptime, between 1:00 -2:00 p.m. Thank you for trusting us with your little ones.

God Bless You,

Mrs. Chavez

August 2007

Hello and welcome ! I hope you and your family had a summer full of enjoyment. My name is Mrs. Chavez and I will have the pleasure of being your child’s teacher this year. This is my second year teaching at Children’s Rainbow Day School and I am sure it will be a delightful one for both your child and especially myself. I would like to take this opportunity to inform you of the many exciting activities your child will be learning in my class. You will be given a monthly calendar so I encourage you to place it where you will see it often so you won’t miss out on any of our fun activities.

During this year your child will be introduced to language enrichment, language development, phonics, numbers, and skills development. They will also be taught about God and the wonderful and numerous things He created and His love for us through stories, songs, and verses learned during Bible time.

While learning phonics, your child will be recognizing the alphabet and the sound of each letter. In the area of language development, they will learn vocabulary words as they learn each new letter. During language enrichment they will be taught opposites, such as up/down and in/out. These will be a few of the topics of conversation with your children when they are home. I encourage you to challenge them further in their conversations with you. We will also enjoy crafts 3 times a week, plant a garden during science, enjoy a cooking class and oh so much more.

I am looking forward to teaching your child in an environment where God, love, and family are valued along with academic excellence. Please remember that classes begin promptly at 8:15 a.m., therefore dropping off your child by 8:00 a.m. will ensure that he/she is comfortably settled in by the time class commences. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding your child please feel free to contact me through the school office. I will be able to answer your call during naptime, between 1:00-2:00 p.m. There will be extra ladies in our preschool to assist children that may be missing Mommy and Daddy. Please don’t worry. You may call the office, 305-258-0194, to check on how your little one is doing if you are concerned. We understand and thank you for trusting us with your most precious gift.

God Bless You,

Mrs. Chavez
